PLUG-AND-PLAY SOFTWARE FOR PC
No hassle, just download and play the included Next Level Racing® Haptic Feedback Software. Designed and developed specifically for the HF8, you can interact with a growing list of racing and flight titles.

The Next Level Racing® HFS included PC software makes it seamless for users to enhance the experience with the HF8 Gaming Pad controlling each motor independently. As one of many variations, you can have 4 motors controlling effects of tyres to feel rumble strips independently or have all 8 motors giving vibration for gear changes.

You can interact with ready to use haptic profiles or create your own for each gaming title, and even share your profile with the gaming community. List of compatible games.

Next Level Racing® will be continuously updating the HFS software with new gaming titles as they are released. If the title you are looking for is not listed in the HFS software, please contact us at support@nexlevelracing.com to share your feedback.

** Please note that console players do not require the HFS software as the eight motors will work collectively through the audio output in games, music, or movies.

HF8 console use

I ordered the HF8 after toying with the idea of bass transducers for my sim rig. On initial set up I was underwhelmed. However I moved from the setup instructions to using a USB DAC for connection to my PS5. The difference was night & day. The feedback from the HF8 is superb. Rumble strips left & right. Road surface change are immediately felt & it give a great level of immersion in racing games. Using the USB DAC also allows me to use my Astro A50’s wireless headset with the HF8 pad. This set up works just as well for PS & Xbox.

First experience of haptic pad

I have been using the HF8 on both X-Plane & MSFS for a few weeks now and enjoying the extra later of realism. I personally feel the the pad has been developed around car games rather than flight sims, however I feel that NLR will put more effort into flight sims. I have made some recommendations to the dev team who will (I hope) take on board. The software is still very much in development hence being Beta at the time of my review. The HF8 is fun to use and time is needed to adjust the different levels of feedback for flaps, gear and ground feelings. The vibrations only seem to vary in intensity rather than feeling thing like bumps when landing or g-force on on side of the pad when changing directions. I am enjoying the HF8 a bit more now and find it unusual flying aircraft without any for of feeling from the aircraft, personally I am enjoying helicopters now because of the feeling of the rotors. I am currrently using third party software at present to allow me to select more aircraft feedback options, having said that I am sure in the coming months NLR will develop will there own software for flight sims. The seat is well made and really comfy, I am using it on the NLR flight sim Lite seat. So far so good.

Better haptic feel at a more reasonable price

The product its well design, with a great syntetic perforated leather feel that helps your body breath after long hours of gaming. it fits almost every racing seat or gaming chair and it was easy to setup. On the downside, the software that handles the haptic motors lets alot to desire. It's very simple and vague, it does not allow you to get the full potential of the product, (Thank God for Simhub). When you are setting up the software, it asks you for a serial code and if it wasn't for experience with other products; I could not have found it. I mean, NLR could add on the 1000 pages manual a small text box that mention where to find the serial code? (The serial number is on the other side of the ON/OFF button btw). Overall, I am very happy with the product but I think the software side of it makes it loose points.
